Karen S. Davis
The Artist
Karen S. Davis has been photographing her adventures around the
globe since she was five years old, capturing presidents, prime ministers,
and princes; animals, actors, and astronauts—even the inside of Space
Shuttle Columbia, from the commander's seat.

In three years she earned
magna cum laude degrees in English and
history and world-class journalism credentials from London's
Times and
Regional Newspapers. While in England she studied acting with Dame
Judi Dench and was directed by E. Martin Browne (who brought T.S. Eliot
to theatre). In the U.S. she was honored to study at the American Center
for Music Theatre with the genre’s original masters.

Photographer,
writer and editor, singer and composer, actor and director,
she has won awards in many of these fields and starred in theatre and
film, had her own TV variety hour, and recorded a
CD of original songs.
She has sung at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Dorothy Chandler
Pavilion, Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and many other
concert venues in North America, throughout Europe, and in South Africa.

Karen's photographs hang in private and public collections worldwide.
Santa Anita Morning Rhapsody, the book, shares its name with her
screenplay
of life on the backside of a racetrack and a symphony she is
composing.
